In the past, I have often found myself looking at that little Windows key on my keyboard and wondering what great secrets it holds. After searching high and low, I have found some great shortcuts that stem from this mysterious key.
Windows Key - Displays the Start Menu
Windows Key + E - Opens Windows Explorer
Windows Key + D – Shows the desktop by minimizing all open windows
Windows Key + D (again) – Opens all of your windows back up
Windows Key + L – Lock your computer
Windows Key + R – Opens the Run window
Windows Key + F1 – Opens Windows help
Windows Key + Pause – Opens System Properties window
Windows Key + Tab – Cycles through the Task Bar buttons
